FIDesign , the organizer of the Reading International Cartoon competition Invites you to participate in this art event. FIDesign's aim is to establish it as a Biennial event and to this end we hope for the support of all cartoonists.
Theme:

4. Alphabet and Our Letters
5. Ecology
6. Politics and War
7. Globalization
Each cartoonist may submit an unlimited number of drawings. • Dimensions - A4 (210x297mm) or A3(297x420mm), without captions. • The choice of technique is free: any technique or subject matter is acceptable. • All entries must be original and not previously awarded a prize.
The drawings should be only original and entrants; property, with signature of the artist and name and surname written on left back corner of the drawing. On a separate paper: a short biography (date of birth, hobbies, awards, education, profession, citizenship, e-mail, web site, telephone or address for contact and so on), all artist's names and signature (again), a brief description of the event that inspired the cartoon should be provided. (This will help us for the appropriate design of the cartoon catalogue)
All drawings should be without captions.
All drawings should reach the exhibition by 15.12.2003 (DEADLINE).
Drawings won't; be returned, and will remain in the "Reading International Cartoon's_#8217;"archive.
All entries will be voted upon by 28.12.2003.
Distribution of prizes will be in January 2004.
Prizes:
1. 600 $

4. There are 3 special prizes X 100 $.
5. FIDesign prize for best cartoon - "Alphabet and Our Letters" - 150$
6. Selected participants will receive e a catalogue and a CD free of charge.
The organiser retains the right to use all received drawings for promotion of the event in any medium of public communication, to publish them in newspapers, magazines, books, posters and any other form to reproduce them on various products and to exhibit them in UK and abroad all without any compensation or fee to the author.
FIDesign shall contact the media in UK.
